Product description
Sweet Iron
- Sweet Iron bits are made of blue steel and release a sweet-tasting surface rust through contact with saliva, which stimulates the horse's saliva production in a natural way. This sweet surface rust will cause the horse to foam more and accept the bit better.
- When a Sweet Iron bit is temporarily not used, an orange-brown rust layer can form on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
Bradoon
A Bradoon is always used together with a Weymouth and is called a double bridle.
This combination of 2 bits is mainly used in the higher dressage classes.
Weymouth & Bradoon
- A Weymouth is used in combination with a curb chain and has a leverage effect. The strength of the impact is determined by the length of the shanks.
The longer the shanks, the sharper the effect. - A bradoon is a bit with smaller rings so that there is enough room for the weymouth and does not impede the leverage.
- For a double bridle bit combination is a special double bridle bridle required or an extra cheekpiece.
- A double bridle should be used by the highly experienced rider
