Elevators (western)

Description Elevator bit

The elevator bit, also western bit in our collection, is originally developed for western sport, but now also discovered by show jumpers.

The western bits in this category are bits that can be used and are allowed in multiple equestrian disciplines.

This bit can be used with one or two reins. A curb chain, also called a bridge, can be used. This connects the bottom ring of the bit with the middle part of the bit. When using this strap only one rein is used. The elevator can also be used in combination with a chin strap.

This bit can be used to set the head of the horse higher. Due to the large lever of this bit, this is only suitable for strong horses. The bit is very sharp and a soft hand of the rider is required.
